This system allows you to start on an uphill grade without using the parking brake.
1. Press the brake pedal to keep the vehicle from rolling back.
2. Release the brake pedal and immediately start moving quickly.
The hill start assist holds the vehicle from rolling back for 2 seconds after the brake pedal is released. The vehicle may roll back slightly during this time if it is heavily loaded or towing a trailer. Start moving immediately after releasing the brake pedal, because after 2 seconds the hill start assist releases the vehicle and it will begin to roll back.◄
