BMW Maintenance

The BMW maintenance system is designed to ensure the safety and operational reliability of your vehicle. It also takes into account all aspects of comfort, such as timely replacement of the cabin air filter. Its aim is to reduce the owner's overall vehicle running costs.
Regular maintenance is a significant advantage when selling the vehicle.
Condition Based Service (CBS)
Sensors and special algorithms take into account a wide range of operating conditions of your BMW. Based on them, the CBS indicator determines not only the current scope of work but also the work that will need to be performed in the near future. The system allows your wishes to be taken into account when ordering maintenance and relieves you of the burden of worrying about the condition of your vehicle.
You can display the remaining time and mileage until the next scheduled maintenance service and until the next statutory vehicle inspection in the instrument cluster:
► engine oil
► brake pads, front and rear separately
► brake fluid
► vehicle inspection
► other inspections and checks required by law
Saving Service Data to the Electronic Key
While driving, all necessary information on the technical condition of the vehicle is continuously recorded in the electronic key. A BMW service advisor can read this data and suggest an optimal service schedule. Therefore, when handing over the vehicle for service, give the service technician the key that was last in the ignition lock.
For CBS to function properly, the date must be set correctly on the control display.◄
Service Booklet
Detailed information on maintenance can be found in the service booklet.
BMW recommends having maintenance and repairs of the vehicle performed at a BMW service center.
Make sure that the corresponding entry is made in the service booklet after maintenance has been performed. Such entries serve as proof of regular vehicle servicing.◄
