Parking Brake
The parking brake serves to keep a parked vehicle from rolling away.
It acts on the rear wheels.
Warning Lamp
The indicator lamp illuminates (when moving off, an additional audible signal sounds): the parking brake is applied.
Applying the parking brake
The brake lever locks automatically
Releasing the parking brake

Pull the lever up slightly, press the button and lower the lever down.
If, as an exception, you need to use the parking brake while the vehicle is moving, do not apply it too forcefully and keep the button on the lever pressed continuously. Excessive application of the parking brake may lock the rear wheels and cause the vehicle to skid.
The brake lights do not illuminate when the parking brake is applied.◄
To prevent corrosion and uneven braking, apply the brake lightly from time to time before stopping at a traffic light, when traffic conditions allow.◄
