Calibrating the digital compass

The digital compass requires calibration in the following cases:

► The display shows C or CAL.
► Incorrect compass direction is shown.
► The compass direction does not change when the direction of travel changes.
► Not all compass directions are displayed.

Procedure

1. Select an area where you can drive in circles. Make sure there are no power lines nearby and no large metal objects.

2. Set the correct zone on the compass.

3. Press the setting button until the display shows C or CAL. Drive one full circle at a speed of no more than 7 km/h.

Calibration is successful if a compass direction appears on the display instead of C or CAL.
