Right-hand and left-hand traffic

When crossing a border into a country with a different driving side, take certain measures to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic.

Halogen Headlights

To avoid glare, use special film, which can be purchased at a BMW service center. When applying the film, observe the enclosed instructions.

Xenon headlights

To avoid burns, allow the headlights to cool down before carrying out work.◄

1. Switch off the lights and turn the ignition key to position 0.
2. Turn counterclockwise and remove the headlight caps in the engine compartment.

3. For left-hand traffic: slide the lever toward the center of the vehicle.

For right-hand traffic: slide the lever away from the center of the vehicle.
