Removing the cover HDi 140 engine
  • Remove the protective cover by first unclipping point 3, then points 1 and 4.
  • Unclip point 2 by pulling towards you, then lift.
HDi 110, HDi 160 and V6 HDi 240 engines
  • Pull the protective cover upwards to remove it.
Refitting
  • Clip in point 2 first.
  • Clip in point 2 first.
  • Clip in points 3 and 4 by pushing vertically and slightly backwards.
  • Clip in point 1 by pushing vertically.

Draining water from the filter

Drain regularly (at every engine oil change).

To drain the water, loosen the drain screw or the water-in-diesel sensor located at the base of the filter.

Continue until all the water has drained out.

Then retighten the drain screw or the water-in-diesel sensor.
