IGNITION SWITCH
KEYLESS ENTER-N-GO IGNITION
This feature allows the driver to operate the ignition switch by pressing the button while the Key Fob is inside the vehicle.
The ENGINE START/STOP ignition button has four operating positions, three of which are labeled and illuminate when in the selected position. The three positions are: OFF, ACC, and ON/RUN. The fourth position is START. While in START, RUN will be illuminated.

- OFF
- ACC
- ON/RUN
The Keyless Enter-N-Go ignition can be placed in the following modes:
OFF
- Engine is off.
- Some electrical devices (for example, central locking, alarm, etc.) are still available.
ACC
- Engine is not running.
- Some electrical devices (for example, power windows) are available.
ON/RUN
- Driver position.
- All electrical devices (for example, climate control, etc.) are available.
START
- The engine will start (when the foot is on the brake pedal).
NOTE:
If the ignition does not change mode when the button is pressed, the Key Fob battery may be discharged or dead. In this situation, the backup method can be used to operate the ignition switch. Place the nose side (the side opposite the emergency key) of the Key Fob against the ENGINE START/STOP button and press to operate the ignition switch.

- When leaving the vehicle, always take the Key Fob with you and lock the vehicle.
- Never leave children alone in the vehicle or with access to an unlocked vehicle.
- Leaving children alone in the vehicle is dangerous for a number of reasons. A child or others can be seriously or fatally injured. Warn children not to touch the parking brake, brake pedal, or gear selector.
- Do not leave the Key Fob in or near the vehicle, or in a place accessible to children, and do not leave the Keyless Enter-N-Go ignition in the ON/RUN position. A child could operate power windows, other controls, or move the vehicle.
- Do not leave children or animals inside parked vehicles in hot weather. Interior heat buildup may result in serious injury or death.
NOTE:
- When the driver's door is opened with the ignition in the ON/RUN position (engine not running), a chime will sound to remind you to turn the ignition to the OFF position. In addition to the chime, the message "Ignition or Accessory On" will be displayed in the instrument cluster.
