Jacking and Lifting Points

All vehicles

Only use the specified jacking points to jack up and support the vehicle.

NOTICE: The jack supplied with the vehicle is intended for use in an emergency flat tire replacement. To avoid damage to the vehicle, never use the jack to lift the vehicle for any other purpose.

NOTICE: Do not attempt to jack up the front bumper or rear bumper of any vehicle. Damage to the bumper covers will occur.

NOTICE: Do not attempt to jack up the front suspension control arm or rear control arm on any vehicle. Damage to the control arms may occur.

NOTICE: Do not use the differential housing as a lifting point. Leaks or damage to the rear axle housing and the adjoining differential carrier surface may occur if a floor jack or any lifting device is allowed to contact the cover at any point where the cover joins the housing.

NOTICE: Place blocks under the lifting points when using a two-post lift.

NOTICE: Damage to suspension, exhaust system, or steering linkage components may occur if care is not taken when installing lift adapters before lifting the vehicle.

NOTICE: To avoid possible damage to the underbody, do not drive the vehicle onto the lift without first checking for possible interference.

NOTICE: When lifting the vehicle on a two-post lift, use care when positioning the vehicle so that the lift arms do not interfere with suspension components, mounting brackets, or stabilizer bar brackets, if equipped. Also, be careful when positioning the lift to avoid possible damage to the axle or rear cover.
