Overview

The Lane Keeping System (LKS) has 2 functions: Lane Keeping Aid and Lane Departure Warning. The Lane Keeping System (LKS) uses a camera located in the IPMA to detect and monitor lane markings. The Lane Departure Warning detects unintentional departure from the lane and alerts the driver through steering wheel vibration and a visual alert in the IPC message center. The Lane Keeping Aid helps the driver stay in the lane by automatically applying torque to the steering wheel to assist the driver in keeping the vehicle within the lane.
