Description and Operation - Precautions - Overview
Overview
NOTICE: Do not clean aluminum wheels with steel wool, abrasive cleaners, strong detergents or harsh cleaning agents, as this may damage the wheel finish.
NOTICE: When removing balance weights from a wheel, use only standard industry tools. To remove clip-on balance weights, use special wheel weight removal pliers. For adhesive-style balance weights, use pliers designed for removing adhesive weights or a non-metallic scraper tool. Never use a screwdriver or any other sharp metal tool to remove adhesive wheel weights. If necessary, denatured alcohol may be used to help remove any adhesive residue from the wheel. Failure to follow these instructions may damage the wheel finish.
Factory-installed tires and wheels are designed to perform satisfactorily at full rated load capacity when inflated to the recommended inflation pressures.
Correct tire pressure and driving technique have a major effect on tire life. Heavy cornering, excessive acceleration and unnecessary hard braking increase tire wear.
To even out tire wear, rotate the tires at the recommended intervals.
