General Procedures - Belt-Minder Disable/Enable

Activation

   Apply the parking brake before disabling/enabling Belt-Minder®.

   Place the transmission shift selector in PARK (P).

   Set the ignition to the OFF position.

   Close all vehicle doors, the hood and the liftgate.

   Unbuckle the driver and front passenger seat belts.

   Set the ignition to the RUN position (do not start the engine).

   Wait until the unbuckled seat belt indicator turns off (approximately 1 minute).

   Wait 5 seconds after the unbuckled seat belt indicator turns on, then turns off, to disable the seat position. Then buckle and unbuckle the seat belt 3 times at a moderate speed, ending with the seat belt unbuckled. After this step, the unbuckled seat belt warning indicator turns on.

   While the unbuckled seat belt indicator is on, buckle and then unbuckle the seat belt once at a moderate speed.

    After confirmation, the deactivation/activation procedure is complete.
