Removal and Installation - Hood

Removal

1. 1
   Disconnect the windshield washer hose coupling.

   Disconnect the pin-type retainers of the windshield washer hose from the hood hinge.

   Both sides.
   Mark the hood hinge position with an index mark to aid hood installation.

   

4. 4
   Remove the nuts and the cover.
   Torque: 159 lb-in (18 N·m)

   Remove the pin-type retainers and the hood insulation.

   Disconnect the retainers and couplings, and remove the windshield washer hose.

   

7. 7
   Remove the nuts and the striker latch.
   Torque: 80 lb-in (9 N·m)

   

8. 8
   Remove the pin-type retainers and the weatherstrip.

   

Installation

1. 1
   To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   Check the hood alignment. If necessary, align the hood.
