Overview

The electric auxiliary heater is a heating element made of ceramic resistors installed in the heater core and evaporator core housing. It directly heats the airflow into the passenger compartment quickly at low ambient temperatures.

The electric auxiliary heater system includes the following components:

  • Supplemental Electric Heater
  • Electric Auxiliary Heater Relay 1 and Electric Auxiliary Heater Relay 2
  • PCM
  • HVAC control module
