Draining

  1. NOTICE: Do not remove the clamp from the fuel tank filler hose connection. The plastic tank is easily damaged by overtightening and/or repeated tightening.

  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).
  3. Loosen the clamp and move the fuel tank filler hose aside.
    Use Special Service Tool: 292-00004 100 GPM Fuel Tanker.
  4. Secure the fuel tank filler hose above the fuel level.
  5. Insert the fuel drain tube into the fuel tank filler hose, connect the fuel storage tank and drain as much fuel as possible from the fuel tank.
    Use Special Service Tool: 292-00004 100 GPM Fuel Tanker.
