Removal

  1. Remove the floor console.
    Refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
  2. Disconnect the shift cable ends from the ball studs, slide the retainer and remove the shift cables from the gearshift lever.
  3. Remove the nuts and the gearshift lever.
    Torque: 80 lb-in (9 N·m)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. Adjust the selector lever cable.
