Removal

  1. Observe the health and safety precautions.
    Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
  2. Remove the steering column shrouds.
    Refer to: Steering Column Shrouds (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

  3. NOTICE: Do not rotate the ignition lock cylinder when the ignition lock is removed. Otherwise, ignition switch damage may occur during installation.

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Release the retainers and remove the ignition switch.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
