  • Interior Lamps
  • Puddle Lamps
  • Door Ajar Switches (integrated into the door latches)

The lamps provide illumination of the vehicle interior and the lower part of the outside rearview mirrors when entering or exiting the vehicle, or when operated by the courtesy lamp switch.

The courtesy lamp subsystem consists of:

  • Map Lamps (overhead console lamps)
  • Vanity Mirror Lamps
  • Glove Box Lamp

The courtesy lamps provide illumination of specific areas inside the vehicle when required.

The BCM energizes the courtesy lamp relay to supply voltage to the request lamps when the battery saver function is not active.

The ambient lighting subsystem consists of:

  • Ambient Lighting Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
  • FDIM (touchscreen)
  • BCM

The ambient lighting provides decorative illumination of the center console storage bin, cupholders and front tray, door pockets, door handles, front and rear footwell for entry illumination, or when the ignition is in RUN with the parking lamps on. Ambient lighting is controlled with the FDIM controls (touchscreen).
