Seat Belt Minder Deactivation/Activation. General Procedures

Activation

   Apply the parking brake before disabling/enabling Belt-Minder®.

   Place the gear selector lever in PARK (P).

   Set the ignition to the OFF position.

   Unbuckle the driver and front passenger seat belts.

   Set the ignition to the RUN position (do not start the engine).

   Wait until the unbuckled seat belt indicator turns off (approximately 1 minute).

   Wait 5 seconds after the seatbelt warning indicator turns on, then turns off to deactivate the seat position, then fasten and unfasten the seatbelt 3 times at a moderate speed, ending with the seatbelt unfastened. After this step, the seatbelt warning indicator turns on.

   While the seatbelt warning indicator is on, fasten and then unfasten the seatbelt once at a moderate speed.

   After confirmation, the deactivation/activation procedure is complete.
