Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Change Alert (LCA)
Lane Keep Assist
If equipped, LKA may help to avoid a crash caused by an unintentional lane departure. It may help by gently steering the vehicle if it approaches a detected lane marking without the turn signal in that direction being on. It may also provide a Lane Departure Warning (LDW) alert for crossing lane markings. The system will not help or alert if it detects that you are actively steering. Override LKA by turning the steering wheel. LKA uses a camera to detect lane markings from 60 km/h to 180 km/h.
See Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Keep Assist (LKA) System.
If equipped, the LCA system is an aid for drivers when changing lanes, helping to avoid lane change crashes involving vehicles in the side blind zone (or spot) areas or with vehicles rapidly approaching these areas from behind. The LCA warning display will illuminate in the corresponding outside mirror and flash if the turn signal is on. The Side Blind Zone Alert (SBZA) system is included in the LCA system.
See Side Blind Zone Alert (SBZA) and Lane Change Alert (LCA).
