Steering Gearbox Removal and Installation

Special Tools Required

• Ball Joint Thread Protector, 14 mm 071AF-S3VA000
• Ball Joint Thread Protector, 10 mm 07AAF-SECA120
• Universal Lifting Eyelet 07AAK-SNAA120
• 1.8 Support Bolt 07AAK-SNAA500
• Ball Joint Remover, 28 mm 07MAC-SL0A202
• Engine Support Hanger, A and Reds AAR-T1256

* Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program 888-424-6857.

Note these items during removal:

• Use solvent and a brush, wash any oil and dirt off the end of the steering gearbox, but avoid any electrical parts. Blow dry with compressed air.

• Lower the front subframe from the body then remove the steering gearbox.
