Type B

This gauge shows the approximate amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.

Information

  • Fuel tank capacity is specified in Chapter 2.
  • The fuel gauge is supplemented by the low fuel warning light, which illuminates when the fuel tank is almost empty.
  • On hills or curves, the fuel gauge pointer may fluctuate, or the low fuel warning light may illuminate earlier than usual due to fuel movement in the tank.

WARNING

Running out of fuel may expose the vehicle occupants to danger.

Stop and get more fuel as soon as possible after the low fuel warning light comes on or when the gauge pointer approaches the "E" (Empty) mark.

NOTICE

Avoid driving with a very low fuel level. Running out of fuel may cause engine misfire and damage to the catalytic converter.
