Inspection

  1. Disconnect the evaporation hose from the PCV valve, then remove the PCV valve.
  2. Connect the PCV valve to the evaporation pipe.
  3. Start the engine at idle and place a finger over the end of the PCV valve to check that vacuum is felt in the intake manifold.
  4. If no vacuum is felt, check the PCV valve operation. If it operates normally, clean or replace the vapor hose.
