Replacement

  1. Remove the liftgate trim. (Refer to Liftgate - "Liftgate Trim".)
  2. Using a screwdriver, lightly lift the clips (A) on both ends of the rear liftgate lift support (B).
  3. Disconnect the liftgate connectors and wiring harness (A).
  4. After loosening the mounting bolts, remove the tailgate assembly (B).

    Tightening Torque: 21.6–26 N·m

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
