Body Control Module (BCM) Description of Functions

Function Description
FRONT WASHER WIPER x With IGN2 on, turning on WasherSW operates the wiper. Turning off WasherSW keeps the wiper operating for 2.5–3.8 seconds, then turns it off.
INT WIPER x With IGN2 on, turning on FRWiperIntSW operates the wiper every 2.2–10.0 seconds depending on the INT VOLUME value.
MIST WIPER x When MistSW is turned on with IGN2 on, the wiper remains on.
REAR WASHER CONNECTED
WIPER		 x With IGN2 on, turning on RRWasherSW operates the RearWiper, and turning off RRWasherSW keeps the RearWiper output for 2.5–3.8 seconds, then turns it off.
REAR WIPER ON x Turning on RRWiperOnSW with IGN2 on keeps the rear wiper on.
REAR INT WIPER x With IGN2 on, turning on RRWiperINTSW operates the rear wiper every 6 seconds.

DRIVER SEAT BELT REMINDER		 x Warning and chime mode for driving without fastened belt according to DRV seat belt buckle status.

WATERPROOF SBW x Activates the warning depending on the DRV seat belt buckle status.

WARNING		 x Sounds a warning chime if IGN1 is ON, ParkingBrakeSW is ON and vehicle speed exceeds 10 km/h.
ESC OFF, STEP 2
WARNING		 x Sounds a warning chime when the C_ESCOffStep 2Step (CAN) signal changes from OFF to ON.
PANORAMIC ROOF OPEN WARNING x Issues a warning when SUNROOF OPEN is ON, KEY changes from ON to OFF, and ENGINE HOOD DOOR is OPEN.
RPAS WARNING x With Inhibit R on, it receives the RPAS SENSOR warning level via LIN and sounds the alarm.

x Sounds the alarm if the Vehicle Not P warning is input.
KEY CONTROLLED
WARNING		 x Sounds the alarm every 0.6 seconds if DRV DOOR SW is ON with KEY IN ON or ACC ON.
WARNING x Sounds a warning chime when the C_Rheostat_Detent_Warning (CAN) signal changes from OFF to ON.
with L_IGN1 = ON and C_INTTailON = ON.
OVERSPEED WARNING x Sounds a warning chime if C_OverSpeedCtrl = ON with IGN on.
REAR HEATER x Maintains the output for 20 minutes if the heater switch is on, IGN1 is on and ALT'L is on.
POWER WINDOW x Turns on the Pwdw & SafetyPwdw output with IGN1 on.
x Maintains the output for 30 seconds with IGN1 off.
x Turns off the output if the DRV or AST door is opened during the 30-second output.
AUTO TAIL LAMP CUT x Turns off the TailLamp output if the key is off and the DRV door is open, when TailLampSW is on with the key in ACC or IGN.
x Turns on the TailLamp output when the output is off and the TailLampSW returns from OFF to ON.
Europe x Turns on the dedicated DRL output if IGN2 is ON, ALT'L is ON and DRL OPTION is ON.
Dedicated DRL x Turns off the DRL lamp when the tail lamp is ON with the dedicated DRL on.
North America DRL x DRL ON when IGN2 ON, ALT'L ON and DRL OPTION ON.
x DRL OFF when HEADLAMP ON, HEAD HIGH SW ON or PARKING BRAKE.
AUTOLIGHT x If the sensor is on with IGN1 and AutolightSW on, it turns on the tail and headlamps after 2.5 seconds.
x If the sensor is off, it turns off the LAMP after 5 seconds.
FRONT FOG LAMP x Turns on the lamp if FrontFogSW is on, IGN2 is on and the tail lamp is on.
REAR FOG LAMP x Turns on the LAMP if RearFogSW is on with IGN2 on, tail lamp on and (headlamp on || front fog lamp on).
ROOM LAMP x ON for 30 seconds if 4 DOOR CLOSE & TX UNLOCK or 4 DOOR CLOSE & KEY.
ON -> OFF
x ON for 20 minutes if IGNITION KEY is OFF and DOOR is OPEN.
x Stays on if ignition is on for 20 minutes.
x ON for 30 seconds if DOOR is CLOSED during ON for 20 minutes.
x Light sensitivity if DOOR LOCK during ON for 30 seconds.
HEADLAMP x Turns the lamp on if HeadLampSW is ON and IGN1 is ON.
ESCORT x Maintains lamp power for 20 minutes if the ignition is OFF and the headlamp is ON.
x Illuminates for 30 seconds if the DRV door is OPEN and then CLOSED during the ON state within 20 minutes.
x Turns off the lamp if TX LOCK is pressed twice while the headlamp is ON.
CORNERING LAMP x Turns on the RH (LH) CONFERENCE if IGN1 is ON, headlamp is ON and RH (LH) TURN SIGNAL is ON.
WELCOME x Turns on the front and rear lamps for 15 seconds if TX UNLOCK is received when ALL DOORS ARE CLOSED, ALL DOORS ARE LOCKED AND KEYS ARE REMOVED (with HEADLAMP SW ON or AUTOLIGHT SW ON and Sensor ON).
x Turns off the output if TX LOCK, TX UNLOCK, IGN1 and HEADLAMP SW are OFF, and AUTOLIGHT SW is OFF during lamp activation.
INTERIOR LAMP
AUTO CUT		 x Turns on the output if ACC and IGN are ON.
x Maintains the output for 20 minutes if ACC is OFF.
TURN SIGNAL LAMP x Turns on the LH turn lamp if IGN2 is ON and TURN LH SW is ON.
x Turns on the RH turn lamp if IGN2 is ON and TURN RH SW is ON.
HAZARD x Controls on/off of the hazard lamp when the hazard switch is ON.
FRONT DEICER x Maintains the output for 20 minutes if L_FRT DEICER SW is turned on after L_ALTL is turned on with L_IGN1 ON.
REAR SEAT HEATER
ENABLE		 x Output when IGN1 = ON and REAR LH SEAT HEATER SW = OFF -> ON.
ARM SOL x Turns on the ARM SOL, allowing the SHIFT LEVER to be shifted if IGN is ON and BRAKE SW is ON.
KEY SOL x Turns on the KEY SOL output to keep the KEY pressed if the KEY LOCK SWITCH is OFF and SIGN is ON or ACC is ON.
IGNITION KEY REMINDER x Outputs UNLOCK if the KNOB becomes LOCK when DRV or AST is OPEN with the key IN.
PASSIVE REMINDER x Starts the CENTRAL UNLOCK output if a passive unlock signal is received.
EMERGENCY UNLOCK x Maintains the CENTRAL UNLOCK output for 5 seconds if the EMERGENCY signal is received with the key IN, ACC or IGN ON.
VEHICLE SPEED LINKED x Outputs CENTRAL LOCK if vehicle speed exceeds 15 km/h with IGN1 and ALT'L ON and ANY UNLOCK BUTTON pressed.
AUTO DOOR LOCK
SHIFT LINKED x LOCKS all doors if the shift lever moves from P to R, N and D when ALL DOORS ARE CLOSED at engine start and ANY HANDLE is UNLOCKED.
AUTO DOOR LOCK
KEY LINKED x Outputs CENTRAL UNLOCK if KEY OFF EVENT occurs with ANY LOCK BUTTON.
AUTO DOOR UNLOCK
SHIFT LINKED x UNLOCKS all doors if the shift lever moves from R, N and D to P when ALL DOORS ARE CLOSED at engine start and ANY BUTTON is UNLOCKED.
AUTO DOOR UNLOCK
AV UNLOCK SIGNAL x Outputs AV UNLOCK if TX UNLOCK is input with Key OUT.
KEY HOLE ILLUMI x Turns on KEY HOLE ILLUMINATION when IGN1 is OFF with the DRV door OPEN or the AST door OPEN.
LIFT GATE UNLOCK x Turns on the lift gate opening relay when the rear door is opened if ALL DOORS are UNLOCKED.
OUTSIDE MIRROR
AUTO FOLDING		 x Starts folding/unfolding of the OUTSIDE MIRROR with synchronization if TX, SMARTKEY or passive lock/unlock is received.
REMOTE START x Remotely turns the engine on/off upon receiving a signal from the TMU.
ANTI-THEFT x Enters WAIT mode for 30 seconds if ALL KNOB LOCK occurs after TX LOCK with ALL DOOR CLOSE and KEY OUT.
x Enters the ARM state after the 30-second ARMWAIT mode.
x Outputs an ALARM for 27 seconds if the HOOD, 4 DOORS or lift gate becomes open in the ARMED state.
