Instruction

Flex Steer is a three-mode power steering selection system that adjusts steering effort according to driver preference or driving conditions.
  • Displayed on the instrument panel, but the power steering assist does not change when the steering wheel is operated.
As a safety measure, the mode is automatically changed when steering wheel operations are performed.
  • Be sure to change the mode carefully while driving.
  • If the Motor-Driven Power Steering (MDPS) is not operating due to a malfunction, Flex Steering may not operate.
How It Works
  • First input: Displays the current mode on the cluster. (4 seconds)
  • Additional input (4 seconds): The mode changes sequentially.
  • Three Steering Modes
COMFORT: For elderly people and female drivers: mainly used for city driving, stopping and parking, and provides slightly lighter steering than hydraulic power steering. NORMAL: Basic mode. SPORT: Mainly used for highway driving with slight steering assist increase.
