Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fuse block cover.
  3. Remove the starter relay (A).
  4. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between each terminal.
    Terminal Value Tester connection
    30 - 87 1Mx or higher If there is continuity, replace the relay.

  5. Apply 12 V to terminal 85 and ground terminal 86. Check for continuity between terminals 30 and 87.
    Terminal Value Tester connection
    30 - 87 1x or lower If there is no continuity between the terminals, replace the relay.

  6. If there is no continuity, replace the starter relay.
  7. Install the starter relay.
  8. Install the fuse block cover.
