Inspection of Power Window Motor

Disconnect the (-) negative battery terminal.

Remove the front door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Front Door")

Disconnect the connector from the motor. (A: Safety, B: Standard)

Connect terminals No. 2 and No. 3 to battery voltage (12V) and make sure the motor operates smoothly when the terminals are connected as shown below.

Connect the motor terminals directly to battery voltage (12 V) and verify that the motor operates smoothly. Then reverse the polarity and verify that the motor operates smoothly in the reverse direction. If operation is abnormal, replace the motor.

Disconnect the (-) negative battery terminal.

Remove the rear door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Rear Door")

Disconnect the connector from the motor.

Connect the motor terminals directly to battery voltage (12 V) and verify that the motor operates smoothly. Then reverse the polarity and verify that the motor operates smoothly in the reverse direction. If operation is abnormal, replace the motor.
