Battery Sensor Installation

Tightening torque found on this page

Install in the reverse order of removal. Battery sensor cable bolt: 10.8 ~ 13.7 N·m. Negative (-) battery terminal clamp nut: 4.0 ~ 6 N·m.
NOTE
- On vehicles equipped with a battery sensor, be careful not to damage the battery sensor when replacing or recharging the battery.
1. When replacing the battery, use one of the same type, capacity and brand as originally installed on your vehicle. If a battery of a different type is installed, the battery sensor may detect the battery as abnormal.
2. When installing the ground cable to the negative battery terminal, tighten the clamp to the specified torque. Excessive tightening torque may damage the internal printed circuit and battery terminal.
3. When charging the battery, connect the negative terminal of the auxiliary battery to the vehicle body ground.
