[Fuel Pump Motor]
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the fuel pump assembly.
  3. Check the fuel pump motor operation by connecting the fuel pump connector (A) to power (No. 4) and ground (No. 5).

    3 Fuel Level Sensor Ground
    4 Fuel Pump Motor (+)
    5 Fuel Pump Motor Ground
  4. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the (-) battery cable.
  5. Remove the fuel pump assembly.
  6. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 3 of the sender connector (A) at each float level.

    4 Fuel Pump Motor (+)
    5 Fuel Pump Motor Ground
  7. Also make sure the resistance changes smoothly as the float moves from "E" to "F".
