Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Open the tailgate and remove the luggage compartment side trim. (Refer to Body - "Luggage Compartment Side Trim")
  3. Disconnect the fuel filler door opener connector and remove the mounting nuts (2 pcs.).
  4. Remove the fuel filler door opener (B) after removing the cable (A).
  5. Check the actuator operation by connecting power and ground as shown in the table. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.

Installation

  1. Install the fuel filler door opener cable.
  2. Install the fuel filler door actuator.
  3. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
