Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) Learning

  1. Learning Overview and Purpose
    • Checks shift point accuracy and normal clutch operation in the completed vehicle to ensure accurate Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) control by the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
  2. Conditions Requiring Tilt
    • Tool: GDS or G-SCAN
    • This includes 3 steps: Step 1 - Gear Position Learning; Step 2 - Clutch Characteristic Adjustment; Step 3 - Shift Timing Determination
    • Perform Tilt when replacing the DCT assembly, DCT repair/assembly - Steps 1, 2, 3
    • Perform Tilt when replacing DCT assembly, TCM, reprogramming TCM, sensor and gear actuator motor - Steps 1, 3
