Tailgate Assembly Repair Procedures

Replacement

   Remove the rear door upper trim. (Refer to Rear Door - Rear Door Trim)

   Remove the rear door trim. (Refer to Rear Door - "Rear Door Trim")

   Remove the tailgate side trim. (Refer to Tailgate - "Tailgate Trim")

   Disconnect the washer nozzle hose (A) and the upper stop lamp connector (B).

   Disconnect the connectors and the tailgate wiring harness (B).

   After loosening the mounting bolts, remove the tailgate assembly (A).

   Tightening torque: 21.6 ~ 26 N·m

   Using a screwdriver, carefully lift the clips of the socket (A) on both ends of the tailgate lift support (B).

   Install in the reverse order of removal.
