To use, pull it out.

CAUTION:
When moving the sunvisor, reinsert the visor extender, otherwise the visor extender could hit the rearview mirror. Vanity Mirrors To use the vanity mirror, lower the sunvisor.

The vanity mirror light will illuminate when you open the cover.
