BATTERY DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION

BATTERY DISCONNECTION

  • Move the front passenger seat fully back.
  • Switch off all electrical consumers, turn off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the ignition lock.
  • Unlock the retaining screw (1) by 90° counterclockwise, lift the cover (2) and remove it from the passenger floor (Fig.6).
  • Remove the soundproofing above the battery.

  • Unscrew the nut (3) and disconnect the earth cable (4) from the battery.
  • Unscrew the nut (5) and disconnect the positive cable (6) from the battery.

Battery reconnection

reconnect the battery, always starting with the positive cable (6).

RESETS AFTER BATTERY RECONNECTION

POWER WINDOWS

  • Turn the ignition on and operate the switch for the relevant window until it is closed, then hold the switch for another 1 second.

ELECTRIC FOLDING MIRRORS

  • Turn the ignition on and briefly operate the exterior mirror folding switch.

RADIO

  • Enter the radio code (depending on version).
  • Reprogram the radio stations.

CLOCK

  • Set the time on the instrument cluster clock (except on vehicles with Audio 50 APS radio or COMAND APS navigation). To do so, go to the 'Settings' menu, then to the 'Time / Date' submenu.
