WARNING

If you leave children unattended in the vehicle, they could

  • open a door from the inside, even if it has been locked
  • start the vehicle with a key left inside
  • release the parking brake

They could expose themselves to danger or endanger other persons. Never leave children unattended in the vehicle. When you leave the vehicle, always take the key with you, even for a short absence.

WARNING

Do not attach a key ring that is too heavy or too bulky to the key you insert into the ignition switch. A key ring that is too heavy or too bulky could turn the key due to its weight or by striking steering components. The engine could then be switched off suddenly. You could lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident.

Do not bring the key close to strong magnetic fields. Otherwise, the remote control function could be damaged.

Do not place the key next to

  • electronic devices, such as a mobile phone or another key
  • metal objects, such as coins or metal foil
