Important safety notes
Observe the recommended settings described on the following pages. Otherwise, the windows may fog up. You will then no longer be able to judge traffic conditions and may cause an accident.
The THERMATIC automatic climate control/THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control regulates the temperature and humidity of the cabin air and filters the air.
The THERMATIC automatic climate control/THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control operates only when the engine is running [1]. It works optimally only if the side windows and the panoramic sunroof are closed.
In hot weather, ventilate the vehicle briefly, for example with the comfort opening. This speeds up cooling so the desired cabin temperature is reached more quickly. The integrated filter removes most dust particles and all flower pollen.A clogged filter reduces the amount of air that can ventilate the cabin. Observe the filter replacement interval specified in the service booklet. Since this interval depends on environmental conditions (for example, heavy air pollution), it may be shorter than the interval specified in the service booklet.
