Your vehicle is equipped as standard with fault memories built into the vehicle's key components. It also has memories that record how the vehicle components behave in different driving situations (e.g. airbag deployment or ESP® intervention).

The data are used only to

  • help eliminate malfunctions and faults
  • enable Mercedes-Benz to optimize and improve vehicle functions

Movement profiles cannot be generated from the data.

This technical information can be read from the fault memories when you use Mercedes-Benz service. This can be done by authorized technicians in the Mercedes-Benz service network using special diagnostic computers.

After faults are eliminated, the information stored in the memory is erased. The contents of the other memories are overwritten continuously.
