Turn the light switch:

AUTO = automatic exterior light control: the exterior lights switch on and off automatically depending on the outside light conditions.

In the driver information centre with upper-level display or upper-level combi display, the current status of the automatic light control is shown.

When the ignition is switched on, automatic light control is active.

Rear lamps

The tail lights are switched on together with the low beams/high beams and parking lights.

Tail lights on Sports Tourer

The additional tail light units, consisting of tail lights and hazard warning lights, are located in the tailgate trim. They are switched on when the tailgate is open. The additional tail lights only serve as position lights when the tailgate is open and not as lights while driving.
