The identification plate is located on the front left door pillar.

Identification plate data:

  1. Manufacturer
  2. Type approval number
  3. Vehicle Identification Number
  4. Gross vehicle weight [in kg]
  5. Maximum permitted gross train weight [in kg]
  6. Maximum permitted front axle load [in kg]
  7. Maximum permitted rear axle load [in kg]
  8. Vehicle- or country-specific data, e.g. AM = model year

The front axle load and the rear axle load must not together exceed the maximum permitted gross vehicle weight. If, for example, the front axle load is at its maximum, the rear axle load must be such that the maximum permitted gross vehicle weight is not exceeded.
