To open, pull the lever 1 located on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
Before working in the engine compartment, be sure to switch off the ignition by pressing the engine stop button (refer to the 'Starting and stopping the engine' section in chapter 2).

Bonnet safety catch
To release, lift the tab 2.
Hook A releases the bonnet.
When working near the engine, it may be hot. In addition, the cooling fan may start at any time.
Risk of injury.

Hood release
Raise the bonnet, unclip the prop rod 4 from its holder 5 and, for your safety, be sure to place it in the slot 3 on the bonnet.
After any impact, even a minor one, to the grille or bonnet, have the bonnet locking system checked as soon as possible by a Brand Representative.

Closing the hood
Check that nothing has been left in the engine compartment.
To close the bonnet, return the prop rod 4 to its holder 5, hold the bonnet by the middle and guide it to within 30 cm of the closed position, then release it. It will lock automatically under its own weight.
Make sure the bonnet is properly latched.
Make sure nothing obstructs the latch mechanism (gravel, cloth, etc.).
After any work in the engine compartment, make sure nothing has been left behind (rags, tools, etc.). These may damage the engine or cause a fire.
