The self-diagnosis mode allows certain main functions to be checked.

Autodiagnostic

I - SPEAKER TEST

  • Press and hold the "EXPERT" button.

The speakers are powered one at a time. The display allows the correspondence to be checked. Compare the signals from each speaker.

II - RECEPTION LEVEL TEST

  • Press the "EXPERT" button a second time to diagnose the tuner.
  • The first four digits show the station frequency,
  • The fifth digit indicates the signal reception quality (9 or a letter = good reception, 3 or less = poor reception = loss of stereo).

III - CD CHANGER OPERATION

  • CD changer operation is shown by the disc presence indicators on the front and by the display:
  • disc indicator off = no disc,
  • disc indicator flashing = disc being loaded,
  • "ERROR CD" message = no valid audio track on the disc,
  • "LINK_ERR" message = loss of link between the CD changer and the amplifier-tuner,
  • "HI TEMP" message = CD changer temperature too high.
