The roof lining is not glued to the vehicle.

It is held in place by the door seals, the sun visors and the grab handles (see Chapter Interior body trim).

It is possible to replace the trim and keep the harness, or vice versa.

The harness cannot be repaired. Always replace it if it is cut, broken or burnt.

REMOVAL

  • Remove the trim (see Chapter Interior body trim).
  • Unlock connector (1) from the left-hand windscreen pillar.
  • Disconnect the connector.

INSTALLATION

  • Use a glue gun: the harness is glued to the trim.
  • Cut the cord, taking care not to damage the harness.
Note: It is also possible to leave the faulty harness in place and glue the new harness along the old one. CAUTION

Always observe the position of the connectors relative to the edge of the trim. A mark on the harness must line up with the edge of the trim.
