Keyless vehicle: Operation
I - SPECIFIC CASES IN "SIMPLE" MODE
- If any opening (boot or door) is open, pressing a "lock" button locks or unlocks the openings immediately.
- If a card is in the card holder, pressing a "lock" button locks or unlocks the openings immediately.
- The fuel filler flap is operated in parallel with the driver's door.
II - SPECIFIC CASES IN "HANDS-FREE" MODE
- The starting antennas have no effect on unlocking the vehicle. However, it is impossible to lock the vehicle using the "lock" buttons on the exterior handles if the card is within the starting zone.
- Motion sensors are integrated into the presence sensors. The presence sensors stop working after a time delay of approximately 72 hours.
- If the vehicle is locked using the card's "lock" button, cards inside the passenger compartment (detected by the starting antennas) are inhibited in "hands-free" mode (locking, unlocking and starting). Starting remains possible by inserting the card into the card holder.
- "Hands-free" unlocking is impossible for three seconds after locking ("simple" or "hands-free").
- Engine starting is impossible in "hands-free" mode if the boot is open.
III - SPECIFIC CASES OF THE "SUPER-LOCKING" FUNCTION
Some vehicles are fitted with the "super-locking" function, which disables the interior door handles.
The "super-locking" function is accompanied by "driver door only" unlocking, which only unlocks the driver's door and the fuel filler flap on the first action.
IV - SPECIFIC CASES OF THE "VALET" FUNCTION
The "valet" function prevents unlocking of the fuel filler flap and boot using one of the vehicle's cards (for example, when leaving the vehicle with a restaurant valet). To use this function, both vehicle cards must be available.
V - SPECIFIC CASES IF THE CARD BATTERY IS FAULTY:
If the battery in the "simple" or "hands-free" card is faulty, the driver's door (front left) can be opened using the spare key. The other openings and engine starting can be carried out by inserting the card into the card holder.
1 - Unlocking the vehicle
Vehicle locked or super-locked.
Open the front left door using the metal insert.
Place the card in the card holder. Engine starting is possible.
Press the passenger compartment unlocking button.
The doors, boot and fuel filler flap unlock.
2 - Locking the vehicle
Switch off the ignition.
Remove the card from the card holder.
Open the front left door.
Press the passenger compartment unlocking button twice.
The doors, boot and fuel filler flap lock.
Close the front left door using the metal insert.
VI - OPERATION:
To confirm locking and unlocking of the openings, the turn signal indicators and side repeaters are controlled by the passenger compartment central unit.
* For this function, the vehicle must be fitted with impulse-operated window regulators and an electric sunroof with anti-trap protection.
** Some vehicles may be fitted with the "super-locking" function and the "driver door only unlocking" function. This function allows only the driver's door and the fuel filler flap to be locked when the card is first pressed.
This system can include up to four cards.
"Simple" and "hands-free" cards are different and are not interchangeable.
The cards are fitted with a spare key that allows the door to be opened in the event of a malfunction.
Badges supplied as spare parts are blank.
A protector is fitted in place of the emergency key.
