Removing

  • Switch off ignition.
  • Remove side dash panel cover → Chapter.
  • Press locking detent -1- in -direction of arrow- until connector disengages.
  • Pull off connector -2-.
  • Release retaining springs -3- and -5-.
  • Push key operated switch to deactivate front passenger side airbag -E224--item 4- out of housing for key operated switch.

Installing

Install in reverse order, but note the following:

  • Ensure that the electrical connectors are pushed fully onto stop and engage audibly.
  • Ensure that no wires are trapped.
  • Ensure that key operated switch to deactivate front passenger side airbag -E224- audibly engages in housing.
