Removing and installing roof spoiler

Removing

Note

The side spoiler remains installed.

• Remove rear lid trim → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70.
• Lift out cap.
• Unscrew hexagon nuts -3- from stud -2-.
• Forcefully press roof spoiler -1- upwards -arrows- out of clips -7-.
• Disconnect hose -5- and electrical wire -4-.

Installing

• Check foam rings -1- of clips, centring pins and threaded studs for damage and renew them, if necessary.
• Check foam strips -5- and -6- for damage, and renew them if necessary.
• Check felt strips (32 mm x 110 mm) -4-and foam strips (20 mm x 122 mm) -2- at right and left for damage, and renew them if necessary.
• Pull protective film off adhesive tape -3- at left and right.

• Secure hose -2- and electrical wire -3-.

• Fit roof spoiler -1- in installation position using centring pins -7-.
• Press roof spoiler -1- hard onto rear lid -arrows- until clips -8- engage.
• Place hexagon nuts -6- onto studs -5- and tighten.
• Specified torque → Chapter „Assembly overview - roof spoiler“.
