Several warning and indicator lamps will light up briefly as a functional check when the ignition is switched on. They will switch off after a few seconds.
A symbol
in the instrument cluster display indicates that the tailgate is open or not closed properly. This symbol is also visible when the ignition is switched off . The display will go out after a few seconds once all doors have been closed and the vehicle has been locked.
If the tailgate is not properly closed it could open suddenly while the vehicle is in motion. This could lead to severe injuries. - Stop as soon as possible and close the tailgate.
- After closing the tailgate, always check that it is properly secured.
The symbol can differ depending on the version of the instrument cluster.
