Airbag System Readiness

After turning the ignition key to position Radio, the warning lamp lights up for a few seconds. This indicates that the airbag system and seat belt tensioners are ready for operation.
Airbag System Malfunction
► The warning lamp does not light up when the ignition key is turned to position Radio.
► The warning lamp remains lit continuously.
If a fault appears in the airbag system, have it checked immediately at a BMW service center, because a faulty system may not deploy in an accident.◄
