Securing Luggage

► Secure small and light items with safety straps.

► For large and heavy items, special cargo straps can be purchased at a BMW service center; they attach to the loops shown in the illustration.

Two loops are located on the rear wall of the luggage compartment 1, and two more on the side walls 2.

Follow the instructions supplied with the straps.

To avoid endangering passengers during braking or sudden maneuvers, always carefully stow and secure luggage.

Do not exceed the maximum permissible gross vehicle weight and axle loads. This not only reduces vehicle safety but also violates legal regulations.

When placing heavy and hard objects in the passenger compartment, make sure they are securely fastened so that they do not shift during sudden braking or maneuvering and do not endanger passengers.◄
