The service life of the tires and, to a large extent, the level of comfort and safety depend not only on the quality of the tires but also on how carefully the tire pressure is maintained.

Checking Tire Pressure

Check the tire pressure regularly: at least twice a month and every time before a long trip. Incorrect tire pressure adversely affects vehicle handling, increases the risk of tire damage and may lead to an accident.◄

Tire Pressure Specifications

Tire pressure specifications for a cold tire are listed on the driver's door pillar. To view them, open the driver's door.

After correcting the tire pressure, initialize the Tire Pressure Monitor.◄

Tire Pressure When Towing a Trailer

When towing a trailer, use the values specified for the vehicle at maximum load.

Tire Size

The pressure values apply only to tires of the sizes and brands approved by BMW for your vehicle. Information on these is available from a BMW Service Center.
