Snow Chains

BMW has tested and approved only certain chain-type anti-skid devices and recommends them for use. You can obtain information about them at a BMW service center. Use them only on both rear wheels at the same time. When installing the chains, observe the instructions of the chain manufacturer. With anti-skid chains fitted, the maximum permissible driving speed is 50 km/h.

Do not fit anti-skid chains to the following tires:

► 255/40 R17
► 255/35 R18
► 255/30 R19

After installing anti-skid chains, do not initialize the tire damage indicator, otherwise it may give a false alarm.

When driving with anti-skid chains, it may be advisable to switch on DTC for a while.◄
